Clinical Supervisor, Placerville, CA

New Morning Youth and Family Services (NMYFS) is a behavioral health organization specializing in providing treatment and support to the children El Dorado County, CA.  Since its founding in 1970, NMYFS has provided clinical counseling services to youth and families, victims of crime, foster youth, Latino/Spanish speaking families, substance use, and runaway and homeless children. New Morning has received United Way’s prestigious Community Partnership Award, selected for this honor from over 100 certified agencies in Northern California, is nationally accredited by CARF, and is the only adolescent Medi-Cal substance use treatment entity in El Dorado County. Position: The Clinical Supervisor position is located in Placerville, CA and reports directly to the Director of Behavioral Health Services. You will work with a team of senior directors who provide collaborative support to helping you get your job done. Overseeing a team of seasoned clinicians, you would be responsible to ensure that NMYFS provides the highest quality of clinical services possible. The Clinical Supervisor will:

  • Supervise AMFT/ASW students or trainees
  • Facilitate group supervision
  • Provide therapy to children 0 -18 years old and their families in a variety of modalities such as individual, group, family, or crisis intervention
  • Participate in and facilitate collaboration, consultation, and case management of clients
  • Attend clinical, programming, supervision, and other meetings
  • And represent NMYFS at fairs, public presentations, schools, and any other venues, virtually or in person.

Licensing Requirements: The candidate must possess a valid MFT, LCSW, LPCC, or clinical psychologist’s license to practice in the State of California.

Education: Master’s degree in social work or psychology required.

Experience: Direct experience treating issues confronting at-risk youth and their families, including substance use and addictions, child abuse and neglect, homelessness, teen pregnancy and juvenile delinquency preferred.  The candidate must be well versed in legal and ethical issues concerning psychotherapy and California laws and regulations pertaining to child abuse and neglect.  Knowledge of Medi-Cal documentation and billing is desirable.

Salary/benefits: NMYFS offers a robust salary and benefits package that is commensurate with experience and education.

Other: Applicant must be fingerprinted/live-scanned and receive clearance from the FBI, Department of Justice, and the National Child Abuse Index.  Must pass a TB test.  Use of personal vehicle required; must possess valid CA driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
