Inspira Health, the region’s leading network of healthcare providers, is seeking a full-time EMS Captain to support our Ground Transportation team in Millville, NJ. In this role, you will oversee daily EMS and ground transport operations while ensuring regulatory and policy compliance. You will lead field staff, manage staffing logistics, and respond to operational concerns in real time. Support onboarding, training, and collaboration across teams and community partners. This is a night shift position that offers a pay range of $37.15–$51.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations of EMTs, Paramedics, and SCTU crews, ensuring safe, efficient service delivery and compliance with Inspira Health policies and regulations
Manage staffing logistics, including scheduling, callouts, coverage gaps, shift coverage, and real-time staffing adjustments
Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members, including remediation and performance support
Serve as the first point of escalation for patient care concerns, crew conduct issues, dispatch/transport delays, and other operational challenges
Collaborate with leadership, county personnel, and external partners while providing technical guidance and resolving operational issues
Oversee equipment and station readiness, including distribution and maintenance coordination, narcotic depot management, station inspections, and response to 911 calls as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
7+ years of experience in pre-hospital care/transport required, with 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred
NJ Paramedic or NJ endorsed Mobile Intensive Care Nurse required
AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
ICS 100, ICS 200, and ICS 300 certifications required
Valid NJ driver’s license required
